Tara has spent the last 16 years in legal & professional recruiting, helping both clients and candidates find the perfect match. Matthew has spent the last 20 years as an entrepreneur, successfully starting and managing a variety of ventures.

We decided to combine our areas of expertise to build a company based upon our values and passion to help other individuals and organizations build stronger futures. It’s not our intent to be the biggest in the industry, but rather to deliver the best service to each of our candidates and clients.

Tara Boosey Wilson

Tara Boosey Wilson is the Founding CEO of Boosey Wilson Group, a national recruiting firm focused on bringing legal & professional talent to corporations and law firms.  For more than 20 years, Tara has worked as a recruiter and industry executive. She has dedicated her career to helping professionals secure suitable job placements and assisting corporations and law firms recruit necessary talent. 

 
 

In her role at Boosey Wilson Group, she provides clients with access to the best legal & professional talent available. Relying on the vast networks she has established throughout her two decades in the industry, Tara is able to recruit the best talent available for each open position.  

For the preceding 16 years to founding Boosey Wilson Group, Tara worked for one of the nation’s largest recruiting companies, most recently in the role of Vice President of Legal Talent. In this position, she led a team of more than 80 recruiters across the country tasked with finding talent for law firms and corporations. In addition, Tara implemented the company’s Culture Champions program, which enlisted over 50 culture champions across all business lines and offices to promote a fun and productive culture. During her first 13 years with the company, she led the Nashville office where she grew the team to be one of the top offices in the nation. Tara was recognized for her outstanding contributions to the company by winning the Executive Director of the Year (2005, 2015), Branch of the Year (2015) and Top Performer (2004-2005, 2009, 2011, 2013-2015) awards.  

Tara began her legal recruiting career at Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry (now Bradley) as the HR Manager and Attorney Recruiter, which is where her interest and passion for legal recruiting began.

Tara graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Management and a concentration in Human Resources.  In addition, she has completed several sales leadership trainings and courses during her career.

Tara enjoys giving back in the community through her non-profit work and is active in several organizations, including All About Women, Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center Young Ambassadors, Nashville Emerging Leaders, Gilda’s Club of Nashville and Habitat for Humanity.  Tara has also served on the board for the Nashville chapter of NALS and on the advisory board for Western Kentucky University’s paralegal program.

If you ask Tara what she is most proud of, she will easily tell you it is her family.  She loves spending time with her husband and Boosey Wilson Group co-founder, Matthew; her daughter, Kennedy; and her dogs, Winston and Willie.

 
 
 

Heather Chesser, Esq.

Heather joins the Boosey Wilson Group team with over seven years of recruiting and sales experience for the nation’s largest legal recruiting company. She spent four years exclusively recruiting legal professionals before being promoted to a management position where she led a region of eight offices and more than 20 recruiters.

She served as Co-Chair of the Culture Committee where she was responsible for the implementation of company-wide culture initiatives. She also co-led nationwide training for incoming recruiters. She received several top awards, including Branch of the Year (2015), Divisional Top Producer (2017), and Overall Top Producer (2018).  She is excited to be joining Boosey Wilson group with a focus on professional services.

Heather has seven years of experience working and collaborating with Tara Wilson. Heather and Tara worked side-by-side placing legal professionals for four years before each taking on larger management roles. Tara and Heather share the same vision of customer service and a passion for placing professionals.

Heather attended the University of Montevallo where she received a B.S. in History. She then received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.  She is a licensed attorney in the state of Tennessee.

Heather served on the board for the Nashville chapter of the Lawyers Association for Women and Agape Animal Rescue Group. She is an active member of the Krewe of Muses in New Orleans and volunteers as an assistant soccer coach for her son’s soccer team. Heather lives in Nashville with her husband, Joshua Chesser, and son Julian, and spends much of her free time being a soccer mom and travelling. When she is not in Nashville, Heather and her family can often be found in New Orleans because, as Bob Dylan said, “Everything in New Orleans is a good idea.”

 
 
 

Maxwell Graham

Max joins the Boosey Wilson Group team with over 5 years of corporate onboarding and operations experience for global and nationwide companies. In these previous positions, Max enjoyed being the first one new employees met while leading orientation. His energetic and approachable personality made everyone feel welcome. As someone who has never met a stranger, he brings a vast network of connections to Boosey Wilson Group. He is constantly up for a new challenge and is motivated by his passion to help others obtain their professional goals.

 
 

Max graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Hospitality Management and a concentration in Business Management. He lives and breathes Tennessee Volunteer sports and insists there is no better place on Earth than up on ole Rocky Top.

Max’s passions outside of his professional career include coaching his middle school’s basketball team, canoeing the Harpeth River, and traveling to see friends.  Max lives in Nashville with his inspiring wife, Katie Graham, and their pets Bella and Bernie.

 
 
 

Tina Townsend

With a focus on "selling" her former companies and its open positions, Tina has consistently increased revenue and profitability.

 
 

With a wealth of operational leadership experience and a strategic vision, Tina leverages her corporate recruiting experience to help yield tangible results for Boosey Wilson Group’s clients. Her exceptional customer focus and tenacity ensure that our clients receive unparalleled service.  Tina possesses a remarkable commitment to service and is known for her resourcefulness, creativity, and ability to establish rapport effortlessly.

Tina is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a dual degree in Special and Elementary Education. After teaching for some time, she decided to stay home with her two sons. She reentered the professional world in 2015, finding a new career in HR/Recruiting in the FinTech, Insurance and Audio-Visual industries. When not working, she loves spending time with family, traveling and has recently started playing as much golf and pickleball as possible.

 

 

Matthew Wilson, MBA

Matthew Wilson is the Co-Founder & COO of Boosey Wilson Group, leading the operations side of the company.  Matthew began his career in the commercial real estate development and investment industry.  During the last two decades, he has worked with clients to successfully complete more than $200 million in real estate transactions. He has also started and operated several entrepreneurial ventures.  

 
 

Drawing on this professional experience, for the last 15 years, Matthew has served as a faculty member of the Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee within the nationally-recognized Entrepreneurship program.  In addition, he regularly speaks and conducts workshops for legal and corporate audiences on the topic of improving ways organizations can better support innovation and entrepreneurship.  Through his work, he has become a thought leader on how organizations can think more entrepreneurially while developing the required culture to support new, innovative strategies.  

Matthew holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey School of Business.  He has also pursued additional studies at New York University.  

In addition to his successful business career, Matthew is very active in the Nashville community with organizations such as Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity, Young Leaders Council, Junior Achievement, Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center as well as the Downtown Nashville Rotary.  He has been recognized for his work in both the non-profit and business community with multiple awards and accomplishments.

Matthew resides in Nashville with his wife, Tara and daughter, Kennedy.  On evenings and weekends that he’s not with his family, he’s working out or training for his next marathon.
